Project to Support National Policy Planning for Early Childhood Development in Three Countries of West Africa

Description: The Working Group on Early Childhood Development (WGECD) in sub-Saharan Africa was established in 1997 by the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA). The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs became the leader of the Group. The first meeting of the WGECD was held in March 1999, with the participation of African nations and partner donor agencies.
